The red and gold Mark III armor is much sleeker than the Mark I armor, the latter of which was a rough draft with a life-saving pacemaker that enabled Tony Stark to persevere against grave injury and capture in Afghanistan. The armor provides Tony Stark with vastly augmented strength, near-invulnerability, and an arsenal of advanced weaponry including missiles and repulsor blasts; with this version of Iron Man, the repulsor blast function is apparently externalized in the form of arm-mounted projectile-firing cannon.  Rating:  - Paint job is lousyI am very disappointed with the paint job on this toy. On mine, there is a big blob of red paint in the middle of the part of the helmet that should be all gold, and another splash of misplaced red across a gold portion of his knee. One of the thin black lines around his eye also went astray and ended up across his cheek instead. Very shabby quality control on the part of Hasbro. Rating:  - Great movie, but an okay action figure.I loved the Iron Man Movie, so much in fact that i saw it twice. When i found out that toys would be released, i kneew i just had to have one. Hasbro is slowly but surely not monitoring quality control for its toys anymore. There is really bad paint mixing, paint overspray and dried paint drip-wipe. Awful ! IT made my skin crawl. I thought it was handpainted by preschool kids. Rating:  - Great for me, but probably not for everybody.According to Amazon's star rating system, 5 stars means "I love it," and I do, so I had to go with the full five stars, though that does not mean this toy will please everyone, and even I wouldn't have minded a few changes.
