Well, it does get the dog hair, but requires many passes. It ends up taking longer to sweep the floor with this sweeper than it would have to haul out the regular vacuum. It probably misses about 25% of the hair in the first pass, and when you pull the sweeper back toward yourself, it brings a nice pile of hair with it. It does not work in reverse! It comes in handy around the kitchen and hall way and makes keeping those areas clean, a breeze. It holds a good amount of dirt and is easy to empty.
