Editorial Review: Product Description: One of the most influential bands in music, ranked eighth on the list of the biggest-selling groups in history, Metallica unveils its ninth studio album, Death Magnetic. The band's first album in five years, Death Magnetic is also its first with renowned producer Rick Rubin (Danzig, Slayer, System Of A Down, Slipknot), first with bassist Robert Trujillo, and first on Warner Bros. Heavy and thrashy, unafraid to embrace the band's past yet move into the future. Album Description: Japanese only SHM-CD (Super High Material CD - playable on all CD players) pressing. Universal. 2008. Average Rating:
![]() Rating: - MusicCD was in excellent condition, still in original wrapper as advertised. If you are a Metallica fan, this new CD is definitely worth listening to! Rating: - Broken and Not Yet FixedIs this a return to form for Metallica...NO...Is it better then their last couple of albums..Yes, but it couldnt of gotten much worse. There are a few moments on this cd but its just too polished sounding, not quite heavy enough. It's not a turd but a polished turd. A little bottom end would of helped this album quite a bit... A good producer but obviously he didnt get his way on alot of this album... Rating: - Metallica Rocks! The best Metallica CD in years. Reminiscent of the "...And Justice for All" days. Rating: - Metallica ForeverDeath Magnetic Rocks! I say it's one of the best albums they've ever put out, it's the perfect blend of OLD Metallica and New. Simply Amazing! Rating: - What the doctor orderedThis album is something I've been waiting for out of Metallica for some time. A hard-rocking album that doesn't let up from track one until the end. If you are a fan of metal and hard rock who doesn't care about the radio airplay value of an album, this is one you can rock out to for the album's entirety. There are no 3 1/2-minute radio ballads on this one, and I think that's a great thing. |
