Read More Rating: - Questionable ethics on the part of Garmin Beware. When I purchased the 255WT, it did not come with a USB-to-USBmini cord, so I tried one that I got with a USB external disk drive. Neither my Mac nor my friend's PC would recognized the unit, so I couldn't register it. I sought assistance from the techs at a nearby Best Buy, and they discovered that it was the USB connection, whereupon they wanted to sell me a $20 USB cable; they also told me that most camera and disk drive USB cables would not work properly. The only drawback to the whole experience is that it took about six hours to do the one free map download. Other than that it is wonderful.
