- FANTASTIC! THIS BOOK IS WHAT I'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR!I am so excited! I spent about two weeks looking for books on exactly what Scott Kelby explains in this ONE book! I have saved hundreds of dollars! Everything I need to know is in this publication AND I don't have to read and reread the subjects to understand what in the world he's talking about! It's very simple to understand. Each topic is mostly one or two pages, covers SO much information and is and will be a phenomenal reference for my photography business! NOW, because I love this book so much, I'm going to order his first one. I can't wait for more.(course he's covered so much info in these two that he may have nothing left to write a book about Rating: - Fantastic BookThis Book is Fantastic for anyone and everyone who wants to start learing photography as a hobby or profession, the knowledge shared in this book is really great and the way the author interacts with the reader is fantastic, I feel I have really got the value for my money invested...... Rating: - Excellent seriesVolume 2 continues where volume 1 ended. Perforce, the solutions explsined are a little bit more advanced, more exotic in their applicability and rarer to occur but when you need them, they are worth their weight in gold. Nice book to have. You will be tempted to try a lot more photography. Rating: - Good follow up effortI read Scott Kelby's first Digital Photography Book and found it quite useful. So when this one came out, I didn't hesitate. Keep in mind though that this book spends a great deal on studio and portrait/wedding photography. If your interests lie here, this is a good one for you. I'm not interested as much in these areas so I found the book not as useful as the first. Other topics include, travel, landscape, macro and miscellaneous photo tips. Each contains helpful hints that are worthwhile knowing but there are a few overlaps with his last book. I like Mr. Kelby's style so I'm a fan of his work. The thing about Mr. Kelby's writing is that he makes it simple and straight forward. Most photography books give you lots of info but sometimes not the most useful info. Overall I'd say this is a good book and the price is reasonable. Would I have bought it had I paged through it at a bookstore? Not sure. Rating: - worth every penny!Highly recommended book! I've seen how funny the author on their show in PhotoShop User TV is, and you can imagine how he must have written this! Overall, very concise, straight-forward, no-BS, entertaining content. Although some of the techniques he gave here are not new to me, (all of it are helpful, btw) it is primarily targeted for dSLR beginners. Don't get me wrong! but some of the tips are unknown to some Pros. The easy-to-digest approach of single technique per page is what makes this book very interesting to read.
