- Star Trek II soundtack is the best soundtack!Star Trek II the Wrath of Khan is the best soundtrack! The music from the movie composed by James Horner is excellent! I like the movie score! The music fits the mood the film! this is a great escape from your problems! Star trek takes you to worlds unknown and that includes the music in this soundtrack! their are nine tacks on this Star Trek II CD! Highly recommended! Rating: - A Resounding DudJames Horner's Score is very weak. It is very repetitive and it is spatially lacking in scope sounding rather flat. It lands with a resounding dud. Enough said. James Horner's best work was yet to come. They should have remained with Goldsmith for KHAN. Rating: - Excellent soundtrackThe music to this movie is insanely good. Each piece will remind you of what's happening in the movie. Even if you haven't seen the movie the music is very good at letting you know what, vaguely, is going on, such as "A battle is happening", "something creepy is happening", "something positive is happening" or "suspence is building". It's really emotional music. I should mention that this was composed and conducted by the same James Horner who went on to win an Oscar for Titanic and many other awards. Great stuff if you love Star Trek and possibly if you don't. Rating: - Great CD to work by.I love this CD and have for literally years. Can see each scene with the music, as any Trek fan will be able to do. Am grateful for this original series soundtrack, which grounds every Trekker or Trekkie, which ever you prefer. Rating: - JAMES HORNER'S FINEST MOMENT!To try to describe this awesome soundtrack with mere words is more or less impossible. One has to listen to it. It is simply the music of the gods.
