- cuisinart fpWonderful food processor. Best one I have ever used. Very pleased, would recommend one to all.... Rating: - the video is now on DVDSeveral reviews noted that the video came in obsolete VHS form. Cuisinart got the message. It's now on DVD. The chef on the DVD had a handy habit of pushing the cutting blade down firmly onto the post and then reaching underneath the bowl to hold the cutting blade in place while dumping the contents. I found that most of my fat fingers don't fit, but I can manage the trick. The many parts become second nature rather quickly. I have a teeny tiny RV kitchen sink, no dishwasher, and I still manage to wash it OK. Draining dry just requires creative piling. I'm going to try cookie dough. Space is very limited, so this little machine will have to be the mixer as well. This processor comes with a medium slicer blade and the shredder. I found the addition of the 6mm french fry blade was the only addition I'll likely use. I don't fine grate things. I'll likely use the shredder for any kind of julienne output. Shredding reminds me. Have to get the ingredients for potato pancakes. Rating: - A Monster! This food processor is wonderful! I was really surprised as to the weight of the machine - it's a monster! It processes food with the greatest of ease. Rating: - Making friends with a CuisanartThis great big cuisanart arrived to replace a little old model I got in the 70s. It seems not only big but a bit complicated to operate...any appliance that needs a DVD to explain itself has a slight problem. However, it works well once you wrangle it into position. I'm beginning to like it alot! Rating: - lousy lidThe food processor works fine. But the lid is difficult to manage and clean. I think it was designed by lawyers who were more concerned about the possibility of a cut finger than chopping or grating food. I'd rather have a Robot Coupe, but for the price this is ok.
