- I was mis-ledI bought a used xbox just a few weeks ago. Now we all heard that Halo is a must have, so natrually I ordered a copy of this also. WHen I first played the first level, it was descent. But after the 3rd level, I honestly just stopped playing. Not only is there an ENOURMOUS amount of back tracking, but no map. I cant begin to tell you the furustration I had/have. I honestly never completed this game. I stopped after the level called 'the flood.' I guess the rumors of microsoft paying off reviewers is true! Rating: - BEST SCIFI GAME EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!The people who say its bad are just angry because they have no friends to play it whith!VERY sad.NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Rating: - Master Chief Is CoolI was very late onto the Halo bandwagon...I didn't play the first until the last was already released...I should have gotten to it sooner. Halo is probably the best game I've ever played. The storyline is engaging, and the cut scenes are actually more informative and entertaining than annoying. At the risk of sounding insufferably corny, I became quite attached to the story, and sometimes felt like I was ACTUALLY fighting the Covenant. A very, very, very, very good game. Good graphics, weapons, characters (The Master Chief is the best hero put on disk) gameplay, and levels. Ten stars out of ten! Rating: - Halo Rocks, Awesome game,This is a great game that you will play for hours without realizing how much time has passed. Although it is a game that you shoot and kill, it still doesn't seem violent. Probably because you are shooting aliens and various strange looking creatures. I allow my 7 year old to play it. The only negative I see is some use of foul language but there is not much of it. I highly recommend you try it. Play it and make sure you think it is suitable for your children or teens. Have Fun! Rating: - An amazing game that started a fantastic and much needed series. This is the game that got all of those Xbox systems off the shelves. This is the game than ensured Microsoft success. This is the game that revolutionized console shooters. The graphics are top notch for the time, but were quickly topped by other games, including its big brother, halo 2. There was a large amount of textures and shine. This game has a sort of realistic yet unfamiliar look to it. The guns and character models are pretty well detailed. What's really impressive to me is how far you can see. Essentially, the game was fantastic from a technical perspective, but it didn't stay on top for long. The sound is great. The soundtrack is one of my favorite in-game soundtracks. As for the sound effects, they're pretty solid, with some standouts like covenant vehicles and explosions. The game-play is where this game really shines. This game revolutionized how shooters control on consoles. If you play a shooter on the new consoles, you'll notice the controls are very similar if not the same. They also figured out the perfect amount of auto-assist aiming to implement to make up for the inaccuracy of analog sticks. All of the guns and grenades are really balanced, well except for the human pistol, that thing is a little rigged. The story is surprisingly good and surprisingly long for a shooter. I've enjoyed playing through it a couple times. There's one really cool surprise that I won't ruin. Local multi-player is awesome. Split screen is cool, but LAN parties are really a load of fun, you can go into the wee hours of the night. Just an amazing game. Although it seems to be a love it or hate it kind of game. If you own an Xbox or Xbox 360 and you haven't played a Halo game, I don't know what I can do for you.
