- TimeSplitters 2 Hard to play! Not for younger than Teens!!!The reviews says this game rocks with so many options it will blow your mind. Well kinda true, I find it decent, confusing, very challenging, not for kids under teens. The many options thing is partially true, only if you have beat every level of the game on every difficulty level and beat many mini games that all unlock new game play options. When you buy the game only a very limited number of options are available, I have been playing it for months now and have been unable to unlock just one extra feature! There are about 200+ extra features and games. The many different multiplayer games are why I bought the game, but only 3 options are available at first! This makes it a very limited game. If you have to have it, go ahead and get it, but look at used games shops or online for a used version. Used would be cheaper and probably most options would be unlocked, which would make it a lot better to play. Rating: - A good Co-OpThere isn't many fun co-op games around for game cube. The storyline isn't the best for it, but for a first person shooter its a good co-op. It takes you to various time settings with unique weapons and environments. Its a neat game if you don't pay to much for it Rating: - Best shooting game everCreative and fun. It's fast pace and the graphics never mess up. It had a stable frame rate. Better than Halo. You can also be a monkey! Rating: - True ReviewNow I played the first timesplitters for the Playstation 2 and I thought that was pretty good. But when I played this for the Gamecube i realized how much the first one was missing. Timesplitters 2 (TS2) improves on the first in nearly every aspect of the game. Now in story mode, the mission objectives are more than just "go here, grab this, and then take it here." I can say that I never really payed attention to the actual reasons behind each mission or why it happened. In TS2 its all explained in cut scenes and the purpose of the mission is clear. Each level takes you to a different time and place in history (or the future) these include Chicago during Prohibition, Siberia, the Old West, and others. Two player co-op is here again although like the first the second player isn't really used in the story line. All the story mode missions have 3 difficulties with unlockable content for completion of the harder ones. Multi player is definately the best part of this game. I bought it because I needed a game to play with my friends that wasn't SSMB. There are tons of different maps to play on as well as a map maker feature so you can create your own. The maps range from the open expanses of the Ice Place (sorry I can't remeber the real name) to the confined bridges of the Chasm. With a full arsenal of weapons at your disposal, you can use the recommended weapons for the map, take a premade category or customize your own list. The same is possible for the bots and up to 10 bots can be used at once. The only complaint I have about the game is the AI, don't get me wrong, I still play against it and all but it would help if it was a little smarter. What is another great thing is the vast amount of characters you can play as, set as bots, and unlock. You play as anyone from a snow man on a magic carpet, to a gingerbread man, to a duck. All the characters are unlocked either in 1 player arcade league or story mode. You can spend countless hours playing arcade league by yourself and the scenarios that are used are hilarious. So all in all, TS2 is a great party game or if your bored one day and want to go shot off the heads of a couple dozen zombies. The price is right as well and it' only rated T. If you want some better AI and story mode and your parents let you play M rated games I'd go for Time Splitters Future Perfect. But if you've got 20 bucks lying around and have a couple buddies coming over go pick up TS2, you won't be dissapointed. Rating: - Great GameThis game has such addictive gameplay. I could play this game all day. The story mode is terrific with an engrossing storyline and such fun gameplay, and the multiplayer gameplay is just intoxicating. Rare has made the best FPS. If you've played Goldeneye, get this. Or if you just like having fun shooting aliens and you're friends, this is also a great choice.
