 - Escort Solo S2 Cordless Radar and Laser Detector This items is too weak and it eats batteries like no tomorrow. Also the worst is every-time you get in the car you have to turn it on. Its a pain. Get a wired one. Rating:  - Great buy!Short and simple, does the job, battery consumption greatly improved compared to other reviews I believe! I like it. Can't compare with corded versions aas this is my first detector but gives ease of mind. Rating:  - Works Well for a cordless modelThis unit works well for a cordless model. It does not do as good as some of my corded radar detectors from Escort but cordless never does. If you have to get a cordless radar detector this is the best one out there. Rating: - owned 2 for 5 yerasI have owned 2 escort solo S2's one for my Z06 and one for my truck. they have saved me at least 100 tickets. I do go through some batteries but the convience and ease of use more than makes up for that. I will never use a corded model. I have not gotten 1 ticket since I started using it. I average 80 to 90 mph and drive 30,000 miles a year. I have gotten signals from over a mile away plenty of time to slow down. Rating:  - Perfect for no wiresEasy setup and install. Range not as good as valentine one but sufficient to warn.
