 - Phaser ReviewOne of the best collectible items that the Star Trek toy line has ever come out with, Ive been waiting forever for a OS Phaser with a detachable Hand Phaser Unit. I Expect for all you Toy collectors this to be to hang on to for a while, Ive ordered 3 and just recieved them today. Rating: - Original Series Phaser Faithfully ReproducedThe TOS Phaser 2 from Art Asylum is very true to the original ones seen on TV. It has a separable phaser 1, with five variable power setttings, each with different sound and light effects. It even has an Overload setting! Size wise, it seemed to be small at first, but by doing a comparision with photos from the series (and knowing I am taller than Mr. Shatner), the scale is just right! The only drawback I found was the release pin for the phaser 1 is stiff, and potentially could very easily snap off. Other than that, the workmanship is outstanding, and, of course, Amazon.com offered the best price anywhere! Most Highly recommended for TOS fans ! A Must for collectors! Rating:  - Startrek Classic Phaser ReviewThe phaser looks great but I would not recommend for smaller kids because it is not durable. The main problem i've found is the batteries. If you take them out you will have trouble getting the phaser to work after you put them back in. You may have to GENTLY adjust the prongs that touch the batteries or on the Communictor from "Enterprise" you may have to add a piece of cardboard between the battery cover and the batteries. All in all I was a little disappointed. Rating: - TOS Phaser by AAAn incredible replica of the Star Trek Original Series Phaser. Detail perfectly, right down to the detachable Phaser One from the Pistol style Phaser Two. No Star Trek fan should pass this up. Rating: - Great, could have been betterOverall very nice. The detachable phaser one is great. Could have been a little heavier. Dials leave something to be desired.
