- ...limited review...I have only had the WR300 for a couple of months and really have not had but 2 or 3 alerts come along. The alerts were definitely for one of the dozen or so specific areas that I had programmed into the radio and that was nice. The setup was quite user friendly -though a bit long and tedious- with the instructions. I definitely agree with any and all negative reviews concerning the FM radio, the reception is horrible. I would overlook this a little if I could at least program no less than ten radio frequencies, but that is not the case. The low rating is, at this time, soley based on this one aspect. If possile then I will update this at a future time with more about what the radio is really designed and meant to be used for. Rating: - Great ValueThis is the best value. I purchased one at Radio Shack that had less features and no radio, for $30 more. Needless to say, I returned it and bought this one. Rating: - Very good weather radioAlthough there are better units on the market, this radio is adequate for most situations. Midland has been a good name in the radio business for many years. Rating: - Midland WR300 Weather RadioThis is an excellent weather radio that is useful for all types of weather emergencies. It is easy to program by following the detailed instructions, and also includes AM & FM. Rating: - Midland WR 300 Weather RadioAmazon delivery was fast. Three days on free delivery. This is the best alert weather radio I have ever had. It is easy to set up. The reception is great with the built in antenna and I live way out in the country where we don't even have cable television on broad band. The AM-FM radio is fair but I bought this for its' capability as an alert weather radio. It works and I am totally satisfied. Chuck Kenyon
