 - Didn't run on my Vista!After researching this and being assured that it would run on my Vista, I purchased this set. I hadn't played it before, so I started with the first cd. It froze about 15 minutes into the game every time I tried to run it. I haven't tried it on the pc but I couldn't do any of the puzzles in the first 15 minutes anyway, so . . . only get this if you're under 25! Just kidding. I know I'll love it once I get it going! Rating:  - Myst 10th Anniversary DVD EditionI have been a fan of Myst from day 1. I love having to figure out clues etc to get to the end of the game. If you are more into action this isn't really for you. It's slow moving and entail you figuring things out and paying attention to everything! I got my son hooked on this and now he's a fan. I have not had any trouble running this program at all. Just use the recommended settings and you are good to go. I'm running Windows XP Home Edition with a NVidia GEForce Card (8500 GT)with over 2 GB Ram. Great game and great fun! Rating:  - MYST legend lives onI have only just started to play Myst , again. This compilation allows me to progress through the natural progression of the game itself and the changes in technology , both hardware and software. This will keep me enthralled and amused for weeks. I could not get this product in Australia. I knew I could get it through Amazon. Rating: - Great game, a few glitches!The game play is the same as I remember. So far only played MYST I so I can't say much for the other two. There were a few places in the game where the game froze and just needed to be restarted to continue, or I would click on something that was to perform some action and the picture would not show the action being performed and the sound would lag behind. All in all I still enjoy the game. Rating: - The games that changed gaming...Before MYST, video games were pretty straightforward. Kill the bad guys, find the special key, move on to the next level. MYST defied all of this, by incorporating truly amazing graphics and sound with a powerful story and difficult puzzles to tweak the player's brain (and sometimes cause aggravation). Most of all, they included the player on a much deeper level. The characters in the game address you as if you were really there, not just playing a game. Your decisions affect the outcome of the game. As the games progress from MYST to Riven to Exile, the story becomes as colorful and invigorating as real life. These are excellent games--not just for old fans, but for new fans and students who are learning to make their own. MYST and its sequels are everything a game should be.
