- If you have kids you've gotta have a SkipDr!!!SkipDr has fixed ALL 40+ DVDs our 3yr old daughter had ruined. Some DVDs were so bad I had to run them 10 times, but so far it has fixed all the fixable ones! The only ones it hadn't fixed are the DEEPLY scratched ones, but it's only because the scratches are cutting into the data (NOTHING can fix damaged data!) I think the only reason other people say it doesn't work so well is because they run it once or twice and give up. Badly scratched discs need to be ran a few times (If they had read the instruction they would have known this) also after you run it be sure to gently completely dry it, and buff from inside out til its shiney again. BTW the little bottle can be refilled with Spring, Filtered or Distilled water! Rating: - Dr. in The House? This is a very good replacement wheel for the Dr. Fix machine. Easy to fix small scraches on my dvds and cds. Rating: - Wheels for Skip DoctorOur Skip Doctor is much used for the rental-DVD movie night and forgetful Game Cube and Wii users. As a result we need to buy new wheels. Rating: - Works Great!I have used this product for years even on the discs scratched very bad. I rent movies for the grandchildren and they are always in bad shape. The Skip Dr has come through every time. Rating: - Gets the job doneThe replacement wheels are the same as the wheel that ships with the cd/dvd polisher. Works great. Deep scratches take a lot of time, and keeping the disk wet during polishing requires constant attention. But in the end, it will save your disks. Of course there are scratches that are just too deep for this type of polisher, but with persistence, you can usually save the data on very messed-up discs - the kind you find under the car seat without a case. If you have a lot of messed-up discs, be ready to commit a good amount of time to your project.
