- We love this!My 16 month old granddaughter loves music and this band set has many items that she can use by herself. She loves to walk through the house making music / noise. The only negative about this set is the nice wooden box that it comes in... it would be great for an older child but she has fallen over it a few times so we have found a different place to keep the instruments for now. Rating: - Great...for the priceThis is a good product for the price (I bought it on sale for $20), but I was disappointed by the quality after having purchased and enjoyed Melissa and Doug 60-Piece Standard Unit Blocks. About half the set is wooden sticks and clackers, which make a lot of great noise but won't hold your little one's interest for very long. The kazoo is marginal, with ours having rough, unfinished surfaces I wouldn't let near a toddler's mouth. The xylophone is pretty durable, but since it's made of wood it doesn't have any clarity of sound. The triangle and harmonica are both metal and give good, clear sounds. Overall, I think this set is fine to let a toddler bang on, but if you want quality/durability, or if you have an older child who truly enjoys music instead of just making noise, I would invest in a better product. Rating: - great buyit captures the attention of toddlers wonderfully. It's a fun tool to allow parent and child to engage in play and lots of fun. I use it while babysitting friend's children and it is great. I use it while playing a nursery cd and pretend that we are in a marching band. The children loved it Rating: - Seems you got a whole band, but got nothing....The toys are low quality and very crappy. The xylophone, which was the main reason I bought this set, was made from very soft wood and easily dented even by a baby. In other hand, the edge of it was sharp, not very good for those soft hands. The other instruments in the set were sharing the same problem. Some of them were barely tuned! And the package.... wood chips were falling everywhere when I unpacked them, and had to keep an eye on my toddler not to step on them or picked them up.... All in all, not worth buying. Rating: - Fun for Everyone!!!I bought this for my son turning two. What better thing for a toddler than noise makers!!!! These are all wood and there are enough instruments to share with everyone!!! He has already figured out how to get noise out of the recorder, but he still wants Mommy to play the harmonica. Banging, shaking and tooting!!! All fun for a toddler.
