- Great Product!Great product! Kids love it and it is very versatile and well built. My only complaint is that for toddlers it is too easy for them to turn the knobs and take it apart and loose the pieces. Over all I am very happy and it is a super value and great toy for kids. Rating: - Worth the money! We recently purchased this product for our 2yr old daughter to give her a place to color, rather than using our walls for her canvas. I had been looking at other easels and am very pleased that I chose the Melissa & Doug standing easel. It is super easy to put together. The easel is adjustable to meet varying height requirements. I love the use of primary colors on the screws, clips, and trays. It also folds pretty flat so it's easy to hide, if need be. I chose not to purchase the paper roll and found that I could by one at a Swedish furniture store for much cheaper that fits perfectly. Speaking of the paper rolls, this easel allows the paper to feed through a slot above the white board and clamp down at the bottom to hold the paper in place. A brilliant feature. I highly recommend this product. Rating: - It's Still Standing-- and that's saying a lot with MY kids!I bought two of them... on for each kid. Turns out, they actually like to share when it comes to this ONE thing. Each one takes a side and they go to work! Finding an educational toy/easel that your kids actually enjoy working with makes life worth living, I tell you. I bought a third one for my co-worker's daughter before I realized that the kids only needed one. She loves it too, and my co-worker (Bob) keeps telling me what a great gift it was. Gave the spare one to my niece who's 5 and she loved it since she always plays with ours when she comes over. My kids have it in their play room and I'm looking at it is I'm typing this. My four-year old has drawn Shrek on her side (with the paper) and he's in brown water (mud, she tells me). My 2 year old has chalk marks all over his side...no idea what that's supposed to be, but it looks like he put a lot of time into it ;) Know that you have to buy the paper roll separately as well as the paint and brushes. We got the "art essential easel set" along with the bibs to keep them from messing up their clothes. This is worth every penny, and it's way cheaper than those fancy schmancy ones. Buy it. It must really be good as I'm usually a cheapo and I purchased three and ended up having to give some away. Now I can sit back and watch my ARTISTES (the "e" makes it french, right? or Spanish? sweet....) Rating: - Good BuyWe bought the easel for my 3 year old. He loves the chalk board, and has really enjoyed using the other side with a of roll craft paper & markers. The item was a bit tricky to assemble, but the instructions are adequate. Overall, it was a good buy and we're pleased with it. Rating: - Excellent product and transactionNo problems whatsoever. The items are not inexpensive, but are of the highest quality. Shipping was prompt and the item was well packaged. I deducted a star from the durability rating only because I droppped a small nut while putting it together, and it left a small but permanent dent in the blackboard. Clearly not a slate board, but overall a sturdy unit that my daughter has really enjoyed. A big improvement over DVDs and video gmes in my view!
