- works fine, but nothing specialwe only bought this since we have an onkyo AV receiver and it integrates the controls/on off etc. Its a low end deck we only use for simple tape playback or dubbing, can't think of anything special about it except its cheap Rating: - good but no phone jackA solid performer, no complaints except for the lack of a phone jack--which, alas, is true of most tape decks in this price range. Only means that you have to hook it up to an amp to listen. Onkyo TARW255 Dual well Tape Deck Rating: - Very good tape deck at a great priceBecause I haven't bought a new cassette since the 90's, I was hesitant to replace my old tape deck when it stopped working. However the reasonable price on this Onkyo (a respected manufacturer) pursuaded me to not turn my back on the 200+ cassette collection in the back of my closet. I was pleasantly surprised at the sound quality reproduced from most of my tapes. In fact, I've been able to digitally record many of the less worn, higher quality tapes on my computer with great results. Rating: - Onkyo TARW225 Dual Well Tape DeckTechnically this product is very good. My only complaint is that the function controls are difficult to read. Maybe after I have used it for a while , I will not need to use a flash light to see which button to press. I have an Onkyo DR-UN7 DVD Receiver. It has a silver face which makes the controls vastly easier to read. Rating: - DisappointedThe player is in bad need of an earphone jack for private listing which it does not have. Also it records on the right side only, the left side is just for playback and the dementions given on the add are totally wrong. No way is it as big as they say and 11 inches hi?? Ha ha ha , no way...Other than that, it does do a good job of recording..
