- Wow!I listen to this almost all the time. The music has such passion and flow. It's wonderful driving music. Rating: - A Powerful, emotive soundtrackI was never into television music soundtracks until I got into BSG. The music for this show is not only well composed, but very powerful. It's half the reason why I watch the show. It evokes great emotion in every scene of the show, telling a story within itself. The Celtic, Asian, Indian, Middle Eastern, African and faint Flamenco rhythms, heavy tribal and military drums, and haunting flutes and Native American influenced chanting blend together seamlessly for track after track of powerful music. McCreary does himself proud, having such a good grip on so many different musical sounds and rhythms, and bringing them together so profoundly. If you like Battlestar Galactica, I assure you, half the show is the music, which is why the soundtrack is a must-have. Rating: - Galactica Music is StirringThe music on this cd is a blend of many types of music from Celtic to Japanese drums. I have it in the cd changer in my van and everyone riding with me asks what it is and where they can get a copy. This music is a big part of the program but it stands alone as a musical feast. I may have to get a backup copy in case I wear this one out! Rating: - BSG Soundtrack R ocks!If you enjoy the show and appreciate the way music can set the mood for scenes in a television series or movie....buy this! Rating: - Space OperaTV Music as High Tragedy, but very human in scope. VERY different SF score, for a VERY different SF series. (Equally as good as the "pilot" movie score.)
