 - Don't spring for the $99 cables!Researched cables online and quickly found the advice to order cables online instead of buying at the electronics store. What a savings and these are just great. Rating:  - Poor construction.I wanted a shorter cable than the $10 RCA 3m cable thrown in with my TV purchase. The "Cables To Go" 40315 2 meter cable is thin and much lighter than the RCA cable. Initially I liked the 40315 cable as I have an articulating mount, and it moved more freely while positioning the TV than the RCA cable which tended to get hung up because it was thicker and heavier. Problem now with 40315 cable is that if I move the TV while the TV is on, the HDMI connection between the cable box and the TV gets cut off. Somewhere within the 40315 cable it shorts or disconnects. Leads me to think that this is a cheaply constructed cable. Being skinny like it is may mean it comes from cheap material, and if this company skimps on materials it may also skimp on insuring quality construction. Rating: - Great cablesI bought these and others for my daughter and brother. They are great. Much cheaper than the ones in the store. Rating: - Works just as well as much more expensive cablesWhen I bought my new plasma TV (Samsung PN50A550) from a local home theatre shop, the salesman talked me into getting a Monster HDMI cable (the 800hd model, which normally retails for ~$99). I used to sell electronics in another life, so I should have known better, but I wanted to play with my new TV that day. So when I found these Cables-to-Go, I figured they were worth a shot, certainly at the price, and then I'd return whichever was the worst. When I received these, I A-B'd them and the Monster cable back and forth, on PS3 games, on Blu-ray and DVD movies, and on TV (both HD and regular). I could see absolutely no difference between the two cables, which, considering the $90 price difference, meant the Monster cable got returned. Not that the Monster wasn't a very nice cable - it was - very hefty and well shielded, which might be good for someone who gets a lot of interference in their house. But I don't. And I honestly don't know whether the Cables-to-Go cable shielding isn't just as good. Anyway, long story short - great cables for cheap. Rating: - Great Hooked up to my new Sammy DLP and DVD player and the picture is outstanding!
