 - A Must Have Movie SeriesI read a dozen reviews before I bought this set. I won't go into the good and bad of each movie. They're all good in their own way. If you have any interest at all in Star Trek, it's simply great fun to watch them in succession. I've made it through the first eight and none had any defects. I have yet to explore the special features DVD's but I suspect they will be loaded with interesting and fun extra info. The only bad I must agree with is the packaging. The outer box graphics are simple, but nice. Unfortunately, the box is too light weight. After all, there's 10 double wide DVD boxes to hold together here. The individual boxes are well made but the lack of booklets is somewhat disappointing too. Overall I'm very happy to own this set and glad it was even available. Can't beat the price either (it was 150$ at the ST Experience in Vegas). Rating:  - An Old Trekie's CommentsFor years I followed Star Trek. I think I was initially drawn to the series by Spock's physical appearance (those wonderful slanty eye brows and sexy ears)! Here's a complete set of all the movies that literally sprang out of the TV series, ...all in one place...easy to get your anxious fingers on & pop into your DVD player...instant gratification. I had to have this set because I'm getting along in years and I find my memories of Star Trek getting fuzzy ("IT HAPPENS" as Judy DeNutta cites). At any time of my choosing, I can climb aboard the Star Ship Enterprise, make a salami sandwich in the gally, and sit along side Capt. Kirk and crew, cruising the Universe, going where there is mystery, aliens who remind me of my old boy friends, and whatever else comes down the pike. If you are a "Trekie", you need this set. If you don't have this set, you are not a true "trekie", and your identification with Star Trek is fraudulent! Amazon can save you. Order the set NOW! Lyttle Rating: - Trekkies CollectionI've watched Star Trek since the begining and seen all the movies on vhs,and almost wore them out watching them over and over....I just got the S.T. dvd collection, and am sooooooooooo pleased with the color and clarity of the picture and knowing that longivity wise these disks will "Boldly Go Where No Disk Has Gone Before"........and I can share them with my grandkids.......buy it and keep it forever........ Rating: - Fun!I got this for my husband's birthday and he is really enjoying it! We've really enjoyed watching the second DVD with the special features and have decided to watch the special features first (since we've seen the movies, albeit a while ago) for the last few that we haven't yet viewed. My husband is very happy that I got the complete set of Star Trek movies, versus the ones with the original cast only.
