- Don't BuyDon't buy. I would have returned this Garmin nüvi 350 if I bought it from Costco where returns are easy. For about the same price, check out the Magellan Maestro series. I bought this from Amazon because of the 4.5 stars from over 2,000 reviews. Pros: - Small Cons: - Text-to-Speech is lousy. - Occasionally (usually just before destination arrival), the device stops "directing". - Routes are not optimal. - MP3 works but why would you want to listen to music through this speaker? I have owned this for over a month now and have done weekly web updates so I should have the latest software. Again, don't buy. Rating: - Great!!!!!!!I am directionally challenged, nice way to put it. I bought this because I was making a trip to NYC with my daughter and granddaughter. Let me tell you, this product was right on the money. Well worth what I spent. We did not have a single problem getting to NYC and we did not have a paper map, only Garmin! Another great feature is that when we wanted to leave, I just had to push the "Go Home" button and it mapped it out for us. Going home I did make a wrong turn (my fault, not Garmin's) and it immediately recalculated the new route. Once again, got us home without any problems. I would highly recommend this product for anyone. We had fun playing around with the voices. I can't think of anything else to add to it. It comes with so much information. Absolutely love it! Rating: - Garmin nuvi 350 GPSUnit works like a charm, BUT despite having been ordered on 8/26/08 (new unit from Amazon) it came with last year's (2008) map when the 2009 is out. Amazon offers the choice of either a $29.99 refund or return for full refund or replacement. I just want the latest map. Rating: - not very good a mapThe map is not very new I think. It made several mistakes since I used it for one month. Rating: - Over pricedThe Garmin Nuvi 350 is over priced, and the sad thing is that 260 has a nice option that is missing here which is to connect to the PC as USB GPS. I can't find a way to customize the map for private roads inside my community. but generally it is OK. a nice thing is that you can send locations (POI) directly from LiveEarth directly to your device. MP3 player is nice I'd like if it had an MPEG4 player as well to entertain my son, and an elecrtonic compass would be a fancy thing to have too :).
