- great transmitter for the 4th generation nanoI just tried this out for the first time yesterday. It works great as a transmitter for the new 4th generation ipod nano. Doesn't seem to charge my ipod, but I am able to use it for its main function. Clear signal, no static. Rating: - Griffin iTrip FM Trans/ChargerThis little diddy does just what it's supposed to: allows you to play your ipod tunes on an open station on your FM stereo while simultaneously charging your ipod. I love it. Ride to work singing along to some tunes, take the poddy into work and sing along to some tunes while writing, then ride home singing along to some tunes and the lil' poddy is always charged thanks to the Griffmeister. Sure, sound isn't ideal, and I can crank a CD louder than I can get this to go, but it gets up there enough for you to rock out. I prefer it to the cassette adaptor. Mine clicked a lot, which was more annoying than the occasional static you get with the Griffer, and eventually it kept trying to flip sides. Wowzers, that drove me nuts. So I smashed it and got this bad boy... and love it. No complaints. Solid construction, too, as long as you don't have uncontrollably enormous hands. And just like nobody beats The Whiz, nobody beats Amazon's price on the Griffenator iTunes Auto FM Trans/Charger. Get one. Do it NOW. Rating: - it's okaythe iTrip works well for charging your ipod as you drive and if you don't mind static while listening it's okay. It has been hard to find a clear station to listen thru on my fm dial. Rating: - Works perfectlyThe cord is long enough that it can be easily accesible from anywhere in the front of the car, and I'm loving the lack of a bulky stand. Being able to choose from any nearly any frequency in the FM range is a nice bonus, however I usually just stick to the lower 88.*'s anyway. You can also choose a sub-frequency if you want, instead of just skipping to each 1/5th of a frequency (you can set it to 88.4 in addition to 88.3 and 88.5). It's rare for it to be overpowered, the only times this has happened to me is when someone else drives by with their own FM car transmitter, or if I'm close to a tower broadcasting on the same frequency that I am. Even then it's rare to notice anything more than a little interference. Overall, a great buy. Rating: - Nice product, but doesn't charge 3G iphoneWhen I first received it, it looked nice. I hooked it up in my car and realized that it didn't charge up my 3G iphone. Other than that, the music worked, and the sound was ok too.
