Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Great quality, works as designed
I have this gate at the top of the stairs in my house to keep the dogs out of our bedroom area. The gate fits snugly in the doorway and is easy to open and close. Our little puppy is able to squeeze through one part; to prevent this I wrapped some packing tape across the bars. The tape is nearly invisible and prevents the puppy from squeezing through.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Improved our lifestyle
I can't believe I waited so long to get a walk-thru gate! We've been stepping over a non walk-thru baby gate. This one makes life easy! Not difficult to set up. Just need to adjust the pressure screws to the width of doorway. If you don't check the adjustment, the gate can be pushed open though it appears closed. Just test the gate after you think you have it adjusted til it doesn't pop open when pushed on unless you use the hand latch. Easy one-hand operation. Gate swings both ways. Color and style go well with most households. The bars are more stylish than typical baby gates. We use ours for our husky dog. Life's good!

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - not for small dogs
I own a "pet gate" similar to this one. One exception, the bars on the "pet gate" are closer spaced, by 1 cm. This doesn't sound much but to a small dog it is a huge difference. I found my dog coming home from work sandwiched between bars and was not able to move forward or backward on her own. With some fancy lift and tilt work I got her unstuck and out but she would have never gotten out by herself. This is a baby gate as it claims it is and may work for larger dogs just fine. I even covered it with pet screen and zip ties and the dog still found an opening in the corner big enough to stick her head through and get stuck... The gate is fine it just didn't work for my situation.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Works OK
We installed ours at the bottom of the stairs between the banister post and the wall. Even with included extender piece, the screw posts are nearly maxed out. It's still stable enough to prevent our son from climbing the stairs. My main complaint with the unit is that the bottom of my shorts catch on the hinge every time I come down the stairs, and when I do I can hear the drywall breaking down from the torque on the pad.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Great gate for the price!!
Bought this gate as second to have when we visit the US and I must say we liked it better than the one we have at home. Shame it would cost so much to ship it otherwise we would have shipped it home with us. The lock can be a bit hard to open at first but after the first day we were pros and I could do it with one hand. My husband put it up without too much trauma and it was good and sturdy. The extra extention piece was a nice bonus as so many make you purchase them.
