 - Garmin Vehicle DC Power AdapterThis is not the most sturdy implement, but one that is quite necessary. The one that came with my unit burned out within 3 months and stopped working, forcing me to purchase a replacement. I move between cars quite frequently, so I don't know if that had anything to do with it. Rating:  - A Tip for Owners/Users of Garmin nuvi DevicesThis excellent Garmin Vehicle DC Power Adapter for Nuvi (010-10723-06) is similar to that which comes with the Garmin Nuvi 250W and, I presume, some other nuvi models, even possibly other Garmin GPS devices as well. It may also work with some other products, any, in fact, which use a mini-USB socket as the power-supply port. As has been noted here, though it is very well made, it is quite expensive for what it is. However, if you need an extra cable or your original one has been lost or damaged, this is a good additional one/replacement. But here is the real reason for this review - the tip promised in the title: do NOT buy an AC Adapter for your device; go to PartsExpress The combination is much less expensive than a DC cable plus an AC Adapter. Rating: - Poorly designed but essentialThis is the same car adapter that is supplied with the Nuvi 370, so there is no need to purchase it separately unless you've lost yours or need a spare. Although it works just fine (and why shouldn't it, it's just a DC adapter?), the black plastic used to wrap the wire is not sufficiently pliable. It is unnecessarily stiff, especially when it is cold. As a result the cord often gets in the way. And the end that fits into the nav unit is at a fixed 90 degreee angle, so unless you are using the suction cup (illegal in at least two states) or the friction fit, the design of the cord means that the nav unit cannot lie flat. These are two very annoying design elements that have no place, in my opinion, with a fine product like the Nuvi 370. It appears to me that they tried to cut corners somewhere, and this DC adapter seems to have been the place. My Rating: - Just what I orderedThis was a replacement cord for one that was damaged. It arrived promptly, and was exactly what I needed. Rating:  - well made and does it jobThe adapter is pretty well made and works as it should. If you need it, get it!
