Thankfully, this adapter supports WPA2/PSK, so I don't have to dumb down my network security anymore to support one device. Other than that, works as designed. Recommended. Rating:  - easy to install, supports WPA encryptionI have a TiVo Series2 DVR. I purchased this Wireless adapter to replace a Netgear WG111. The WG111 didn't support WPA encryption, it only supports WEP which is less secured. Now somebody will ask why you want to secure your TIVO connection? The reason is recently I upgraded a defective wireless router to a Linksys WRT54GL, and I wanted to use WPA encryption for my whole house, but because of my WG111 I could not, I was restricted to less secure WEP. The WG111 would not work under WPA and Tivo recommended to upgrade to a new wireless adapter that supports WPA. I noticed also that with the new adapter the signal is a much stronger. The setup was easy when following the instruction. I like the brush metal case finish, makes it look sturdy built. Get it at Amazon, best price on the net with free shipping. Rating: - Plug-n-play, works like a charmI bought this because I didn't want to fiddle around with uncompatible third party wifi adapters. It plugs-n-plays and configures easily. I was up and running with my Tivo in 5 minutes. I also want to complement Amazon. The first shipment was stolen from my front porch, Amazon sent another one no questions asked. $40+free priority shipping+no tax is a Win in my books! Rating:  - Works, but could be betterI have it hooked up to my Tivo in the living room and I get between 50-58% signal strength. Not great considering my laptop in the same room gets about 80-90% signal strength. Tivo's suggestion of getting the adapter closer to my wireless router is a joke. The reason I have this is so they can be apart. If they were closer, I would just use a network cable. Rating: - TIVO wireless G AdapterAttach to your TIVO and it works very nicely.
