Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - divinemsm
I've been a Mac user since the late 80's and I swore back then that I would never own anything else (I currently use the MacBook Pro, and still have my SE, iMac, iBook, and 1st gen iPod). I read the mixed reviews of Leopard, and was reluctant to upgrade at first. But I'm happy to report that Apple has not let its faithful long-time users down, by once again giving us the quality technology that we've come to expect. From standard features like the clean, user-friendly interface to new additions like Quick Look and Time Machine (I've been waiting for YEARS for Apple to supply its own back up program), Leopard 10.5 is a top notch product. If I had one criticism to offer it would be that Apple should have given us this product a long time ago.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Improvement over an already stable OS
I pre-ordered Leopard and upgraded both my macbok and iMac with it. The improvements over an already solid and stable os make this a winner in my book. Of all of the changes, the one I ask myself how I lived without before is quick look. As a graphic designer, it has served me very well. On my work computer, we use tiger and everytime I want to look at a file, I have to open it in preview or photoshop. Quick Look would be so handy in this case, and especially when there are multiple copies of a file with changes that you just want to look through quickly. I'm also loving the simple backups through Time Machine, Spaces gets a lot of use on my laptop and screen sharing in iChat is a godsend for my new switcher brother, who I screenshare over iChat with to troubleshoot problems or just to show him how to use an app.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - OS X Leopard
It doesn't seem a whole lot different from 10.4--but overall runs well.
The printed manual wasn't much help.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - The worst Mac OS X yet.
Good stuff? Networking is easier and works better.

That's it.

I "upgraded" to this fiasco of an operating system on my PowerBook G4 with 1G RAM and 1.67ghz G4 processor, WELL within the confines of the recommended system configuration.

This update is flakey, requires a restart for every little system update I've installed so far, will NOT allow me to save "collated" as an option in MS Word (one of the many known bugs that are NOT worked out yet). I can no longer drag external discs to the trash half the time (even when I've quit all applications and closed all files).

I have crashed more in the few weeks that I've been using OS 10.5 than the ENTIRE TIME I've used every other version of Mac OS X PUT TOGETHER. A big reason people like Macs is because they are more bug-free and easier to use than Windows, and work better. This update levels the playing field in a way I doubt Apple would like.

Please... Apple... get on the stick and fix this update.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Love it!
One word: Spaces!
I have always brought in my laptop to use at work, but now that I am running Leopard I not only would rather use my Mac, but cannot work well without it. Spaces gives me the perfect environment to get my work done.
