- Not too bad!Yes, the paint job blows. But after repainting it and installing a very bright LED light in both nacelles and the main deflector it looks pretty good. Advice: if you elect to upgrade the lighting be sure, very sure, to paint the INSIDE of the ships' hull and nacelles with black or (better) chrome paint so that your bright lights do not shine through the hull. Rating: - Could be better.Well as many other's before me have said before about this product well I must agree. The color scheme is definitely off and I wasn't so thrilled once I got it home. The detailing could have been done better because it looks like they don't put a lot of time or effort into their die cast models. It would be nice if the lights could stay on for a more elegant display as well as the warp necels. They didn't add lights to the blue on the necels which sucks. I'd also like to see more lighting in windows which too makes a pretty impressive overall impact. . I don't care much for the sounds. But other then that it's ok. I'd like to see them do a much better version of this. Rating: - It Is A Nice ReplicaI won't lie to you, I would have bought this anyway, since I have neither the time, the patience, or the knowledge of how to get modeling glue out of a pet's hair to build one. The sounds are good. But, the lighting like a lot of people have said is the issue. Not to nit-pick, but if you're going to put clear, blue plastic in for the warp nacelles, wouldn't you light them? I mean what's the point? Just paint them in if you're not going to light them. I was really hoping they would light them, because that would have been a fantastic effect for a beautiful design (I always hated the Enterprise D. It always looked like it belonged underwater to me, not in space). Now, I'm anxiously awaiting the 1701-A. I'm hoping that has better lighting since that was my favorite Enterprise design. All-in-all, if you love Trek, buy it. I have it next to my Art Asylum TOS Enterprise, and it makes for a great display. Rating: - NCC-1701-E:Art AsylumI love this ship figure, there are only two problems (as there are with every production of anything, nothing is prefect) 1.Coloer theme is off. 2.There is a gap were the battery cover meets with the rest of the ship, not a problem for me since its not really much of one but other people might not think so. Other then that all I have to say is that this is the best version of the Enterprise E (Other then the model) that I have seen (the play mates one was just BAD) Oh before I forget, it does light up and has sounds, not all windows light up, just the ones around/on the brige area, wrap engines and deflector dish. Buy it when you can, other wise it might not be there! Rating: - Great replica for the priceNot entirely accurate, but nice either way. The Art Asylum NCC-1701-A that I bought three years ago is now fetching a hundred dollars on ebay. I bought two of these in case the same thing happens.
