- Yeah I like thisI am a fame of the classic superheroes and try to keep track of new thing that come up. I enjoy this game you don't just play superman and batman, you get to play other charactors to. So far I have gotten to play as the Magician and Martian Man. I think it is a little different from the Ultimate Alliance as in Ultimate Alliance you go through smashing a whole lot without that much reward. This seems to have a good story line and purpose. Good buy if you like comic classic heroes I think this will keep you attention. Rating: - Restrictive and repetitiveThis is a horrible game for these simple reasons: 1. Action slows down, when there is more than 3 people on the screen 2. Characters are slow (Superman flies excruciatingly slow) 3. Moves are slow 4. Not enough variety of moves 5. Boring music 6. No co-op attack (like in the Marvel Legends series) Rating: - Surprisingly fun despite the other reviews!Plays just like the marvel games but with less cartoony graphics and less characters on screen. Playing as a fully powered up superman is REALLY fun as he stomps everything in sight! Rating: - Great fun gameI got this game for my brother on his birthday, and I thought it would be something only he would enjoy but instead I gave it a try in its great co-op mode and had a great time. The graphics are great and the story line is pretty good for a game like this. While it was annoying sometimes to only having 2 players at a time unlike X men legends. The upgrading system is really intuitive and fun. Enjoy this game at this great price. Rating: - Lackluster action RPG...I basically knew what I was getting into with this. If you've ever played the X-Men Legends games, Marvel Ultimate Alliance, the Baldur's Gate title for consoles, heck, even Diablo, this is basically a similar take, only in the DC universe. The only problem with this is that the execution seems a bit off. It seems to run at about half the speed of any of the other games, and compared to the most recent, Ultimate Alliance, it truly pales in comparison. That's not to say that it's bad, just a bit dulled. The story is a bit hokey, it only allows for 2 players to play at the same time, and some of the roster choices are rather dubious (sorry, never been a fan of Zatanna). With so many things to draw on from the DC Universe, the amount of unlockables also seems second rate, again, especially when you compare it to Marvel Ultimate Universe, with its plethora of characters, alternate versions, items, missions, etc. JLHeroes isn't a bad game, just an underwhelming one. If you can get it for a good price, get it by all means, but don't expect a DC version of MUA (or even X-Men Legends for that matter).
