- A bummer!!!I am upset, disappointed and downright frustrated with this useless piece of junk. I called the company for help since I thought I must be doing something wrong. I just cannot believe the positive reviews here!! I have followed all instructions, I have tried it with the bulbs and without, I have tried it on the ground and 6ft. above, I even put in a $20 Octenol lure. The thing has been running day and night for a week and the bugs STILL prefer me. Mosquitoes are flying about all over the place, I was bitten six times yesterday. Going outside is like entering a war zone. WHY IS IS NOT WORKING FOR ME? Rating: - waste of moneyI bought one of these traps and would never buy anything from this company again. After the first month one of the lights burned out and all it caught was moths. Then the motor burned out so I sent emails to the company for replacement parts and they would not answer my emails. I would invest a little more and buy a "Skeetervac". Works great here in Wyoming. Rating: - Works as advertisedWorks like it says. Bugs are attracted to the light, so it doesn't work during the day or at dusk when the mosquitos first come out. Only effective at complete dark. It definitely cleans up on the little guys as well as catching other nighttime bugs such as moths. Works in the woods . . . should work great in a backyard too. Rating: - Mosquito trapThe Dynatrap works very efficiently and is environmentally prudent but the firs tone we had stopped working after three weeks. We ordered another because it was effective when it was working. The new one is working well. Rating: - Dynatrap reviewedThis product seems to work. It gets a lot of moths as well as the mosquitoes. There are, I guess, always mosquitoes around. That may be because the placement is dependent on an electrical source. And that placement might not be ideal. The product can be vastly improved if its energy source was from a battery in the Dynatap. Maybe the company will do it for next year.
