- No doubt great but unsuitable for the UKBeing a devoted Mac fan forced to work on a PC due to software constraints I was really excited to learn that Quickbooks was available in this format. I was unable to purchase it in the UK but quickly found it for sale in the US. Following installation I tried to open an existing Quickbooks (PC) file and discovered that this was not possible. I then spent a lot of time on forums, e-mailing Intuit and calling help lines trying to find out why. Bizarrely US and UK versions are incompatible and Intuit has no plans to release a UK version. PC and Mac versions of Quickbooks are also very reluctant to communicate with each other and a trial version is needed to bridge the gap. I wasted time and money in buying this product and wouldn't want others to make the same mistake. Rating: - Stay awaaaaaaaay from this product.I returned this product and I am waiting for my refund. I wanted to switch from PC to Mac at work, but this version of Quickbooks did not work. It does not print a customer's total balance!!! It only prints the balance of that particular invoice. I called Intuit, and they said it was "product limitation". Thanks, but no thanks. I want my money back! Rating: - Easy to Use - watered down from Windows versionI've been using QB for Windows for a few years and recently bought a Mac. QB for Mac is like a watered down version of QB for Windows. Much more basic and doesn't have the same helpful "views" that the Windows version has. Still easy to use and works great for what I need. I would recommend it to others. Rating: - Why all the negativity? As an owner of a design studio I find this software invaluable - we've only scraped the surface of its capabilities from estimates to invoicing, tax stuff, report generation, time and project tracking to name a few... i would have given it 4 stars if it was networkable. It's BS that only one-person at a time can read the master file. Until something better is out there for Mac we'll keep using it. Rating: - Very Different from The PC versionThe QB for Mac is completely different than the Windows version. If you need to be able to hit the ground running, and you used a Windows version previously, you are going to have a rough start! So, far, I do not think it is as easy to navigate as the windows version. I am new to Mac though, but still, I would have thought it would be more similar than it is. Getting my files switched from windows to the Mac was not easy wither! I had to pay MAC $100 to get my PC files converted to the Mac because it was so complicated, so be aware of that. I hope the QB for Mac turns out to be as easy to use as the Windows version, but it is looking grim. Good luck!
