Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Works well. Not a high-end card, though.
When I first opened the box and looked at the details, there were two things that concerned me right away:

1) The card does not capture audio. It requires that the audio signal is routed through your sound card.

2) The card lists several capture formats, but it's important to note that the various formats are available via *software*. i.e., it appears that the card itself just captures frames, and it's the Pinnacle Studio software that does the conversion into DV/MPEG/etc. in real-time.

However, even with those two limitations I did a 2-hour capture from an old VHS tape (albeit via a Time Base Corrector box) and the whole capture went flawlessly. Not a single dropped frame, and no out-of-sync audio (the most common problems one might have with such a capture setup).

I have/had a Hauppauge PVR-250, Pinnacle DC10+, Pinnacle AV/DV, and various capture capabilities integrated into video cards. This card fits into the middle of the lot. It doesn't have the integrated audio capture or hardware compression capabilities of the PVR-250 or the AV/DV, but it works well, and the flexibility of capture formats (albeit via software) is nice to have.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Very Happy
Purchased two of these boards to capture video through the PC. Software that came with the board was current. Easy installation. Opened capture software and had camera image. Worked great! Price was the lowest I found on the web and shipping was on-time.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Works as Advertised
I think this is a great kit for the price. The card and software installed with no major issues, and the analog video capture from my old camcorder works great. Captures in AVI or MPEG, and the editing software is pretty cool. You'll want to upgrade 1GB of memory. I only have 512MB and it starts swapping during editing.

Otherwise, I highly recommend this product.
