 - An Ancient MuseYet another exceptional album by Loreena McKennitt. I cannot wait to see her live on her 2007 US tour! What a beautiful voice and music. Definitely a must own for any new age music fan. Rating:  - BeautifulI ve waited sooooo long for her to finally come out with a new album since "the book of secrets"...and she doesnt dissapoint with this one. Im glad to see she continued to use middle eastern influences giving her music an exotic twist. As always, her music sends me into a world of reveries, wether it may be travelling across the sahara caravan style or finding myself walking the lush green grasslands of ireland. The only reason i wont give this album a 5 star is because to this date she can never top my all time favorite song "mystics dream" from the album "the mask and the mirror". I only hope now...that she wont take this long to come out with her next album. If you liked her previous albums "the mask and the mirror, and the book of secrets" you will love this one. Rating: - Hauntingly beautiful...This is classic Loreena McKennitt!! Hauntingly beautiful... being a student myslf of tragedy...I can sense her transmutation from harrowing pain to sheer, profound and elegant beauty! Rating:  - I miss the FireI was really hoping for more of the middle eastern essence of "The book of Secrets". #5 is good and makes me want to move and drum, which is what I was looking for. The other songs are beautiful, crooning ballads, and good for that mood. What can I say? I don't think Loreena McKennitt could do anything except enchanting mesmerism. When will her next be out? Rating: - Beautiful melodiesVery soothing, beautiful lyrics, she put alot of thought into this album. I am proud to own it.
