- Lots of bugsI found this to be a terrible product, and would never use it again. Most of my complaints involve reporting of capital gains from stock and mutual fund sales. It had so many quirks and bugs, that it took forever, and to get it write, I simply had to override the progrmas input and manually type in the correct values, which makes it impossible to e-file. Rating: - Taxes made easyI normally have a very basic tax form. I had some 1099's this year. TurboTax literally walks you through it with questions and completes the form for you. I would use this software over hiring an accountant ANY Day!! Rating: - great productCan be a pain in the tail if you have income from more than one state or your spouse works in another state. Not for people that cheat on their taxes. The email feature is extra $$ but if you get it over with in February you should have refunds by summer vacation. Save and redo before filing give it about a week of more thought on deductions and some options you may have then, print and mail. Rating: - TurboTax 2006As promised, the Federal portion of the program is nearly flawless, well balanced between ease of use and topic assistance. The State portion, however, leave much to be desired. The State portion did successfully extract the information from the Federal side. However, State-tweaking was non-existent. I hope that this side of the program will be addressed in future versions. Electronic filing was flawless. So too was the importation of Fidelity Investment portfolio download. Rating: - Turbo taxTurbotax is better than ever. This makes it very easy to preprare you income tax return. It handles my 1099 forms and rental unit activity very well. Be sure to get the latest updates before you send your return to the IRS.
