 - Grandma's Best Gift EverThis has made every day Christmas for my Mom & Dad who live in Arizona. They wait every day to see what the family has sent. The pics come through beautifully. I wish it had a black ink option for the other e-mails, though. It uses a lot of ink, but the folks don't seem to mind. Rating:  - Pretty great item!This item is great! I bought it for my parents who have no desire to learn how to use a computer and get on the internet. They receive a handful of the newsletters available plus email from their friends list. It's really easy to use, but for non-technological people (as my parents are), you might need to teach and re-teach. My parents know how to replace the paper, but the ink seems to be too much of a task for them. The only reason I didn't give this item a 5 star rating is that it goes through ink like crazy! The printer only comes with one ink compartment, so it uses the color ink cartridge for both black and color printing--which makes the cartridge last only about a month. Of course, my mom wants a lot of the newsletters and that takes up most of the ink, so if you don't subscribe to their free newsletters then it would most definitely last much, much longer. (But the newsletters are great for days that they don't get regular email.) Rating: - Mom Loves It!My Mom loves her Presto. She says she loves to find something printed out on it and loves the little announcement tune. She was able to set it up herself and she changes the ink herself. I have been able to send her info on heart disease, nutrition, senior citizen services in her area, family pictures and it just arrives, no effort on her part. She also gets church announcements. There was some technical difficulty getting it to consistently communicate with the home base but the customer service was spectacular. Mom has a computer but getting on the email frustrates her so much she doesn't use it. The Presto is small, simple looking, prints in color, dings when it arrives, It will hold messages if it runs out of paper. Mom puts paper and ink in it. Ink is not cheap but well worth it for us. I can order ink from the website. The account holder (me) selects the times it will call HQ and collect email. Mom responds to emails by calling via telephone. It has made us feel closer even though we are 4000 miles apart. In spite of sounding like an ad, this is my true review. I have no financial or other stake in Presto or HP. (Hmmm, maybe I should). Rating: - ExcellentWe got this product or my Father-in-law, it has worked out perfect for him. It is everything that HP claims it is!! Rating: - works greatI bought this for my parents who have no idea how to run anything technical. They love it. It makes them feel part of the high tech world without any hassle. They love receiving e-mails and pictures without having to answer back. Best thing I have given them.
