- A real lifesaverMy cousin has been in the hospital for over a year and is unable to talk. She is now able to e-mail her mother several times a day to give her updates on her progress. It has been a real lifesaver! Rating: - Presto printerAn excellent idea for elderly who don't have a computer, but want to stay "in the loop". We bought it for Grandma and she is very pleased. Rating: - Easy to useI bought the Presto printer for my father who is in an assisted living facility. I was impressed at how easy it was to set up with ink included and a (very) small amount of paper. Setting up on line was easy as well. My father was impressed with the color photo's that he received and was thrilled to hear from his grandsons and great grandson. It seems like it is a terrific idea for those who are not technically inclined but want to stay tied with the family. Rating: - Presto Mailbox PrinterWorks great. Easy to use and keeps her better informed. She loves receiving photos of grandkids and great grandkids. Rating: - My octogenarian dad's favorite toyI used to print the email humor that was worth saving and carry hard copies on visits to my 86-year-old dad. He still has a sharp mind and a great sense of humor, and we'd have a good laugh together when I got around to digging them out of my computer case - but when I saw the Presto on Martha Stewart around Christmas, it was clearly a better solution. Now I just forward the best emails to Dad's inbox, and he gets them right away; we share the laugh on the phone the same evening, and if I don't have much time to talk, I know I've at least brightened his day by that much. My sister down the street from him has a home-based business; I do her billing on a web-based system and email the invoices to Dad's Presto, so she can pick up the hard copies while she's over at this house. I also use it to share other correspondence with them, and I've shared the address with trusted family friends who send humor and short notes to Dad too. So the Presto has been getting daily use for about 3 months now, and it's still on the first ink cartridge despite printing lots of colorful cartoons & photos. The print quality is good, the online tool makes it simple to manage - and you should see my dad sit up in his chair when it starts printing! Thanks HP, great product. Totally makes up for that awful Pavilion laptop I had before I converted to Mac! :-)
