- XP trumps VistaI bought a Dell laptop with Windows Vista installed, which never performed well. Vista was slow, unstable and incompatible with much of my software and periferals, so XP was the perfect solution. I had to hire a professional to delete Vista and install XP, but it was well worth the extra cost. If you take this route be sure to make copies of everything because all will be lost in the transition. Rating: - Perfect for Mac with VMWare FusionI found all the different versions of Windows very confusing as to what would work properly (and legally) on my new MacPro while spending minimum $$. After looking at a couple of reviews here I bought this version of Windows XP along with VMWare Fusion to be able to run Street Atlas and the few other programs only available for Windows. Installation was a breeze and it works great. I haven't run any intensive applications but Street Atlas and my Garmin software run perfectly. Only four stars... after all it's still Wiindows. :-) Rating: - good price, quick servicewhen it's time to nuke and pave, this is a good way to obtain a legal copy of XP Home (the functional OS). Rating: - Old vs. New Version?Does anyone know if there's a practical difference between the "Old Version" for $90, and the "New Version" for $110 ? Seems the same spec... Rating: - GREAT DEAL!!!look around at what others charge. i had a friend guide me thru and installed this with ease.
