- Absolutely WonderfulMy BEST FRIEND the Versa Cart is absolutely adorable and easy to use. They say it holds heavy weight but I would not use it for real heavy duty purposes. It is great for groceries and the like I can only see one improvement for it to have a solid base in the cart but then it would not be collapseable!!! It is so easy to set up and take down and I leave mine in my trunk of the car so it is always ready when needed. Great for an elderly person that is not real mobile and having alot of strength. It should not be expected to use on stones or uneven surfaces. Rating: - Better than those other carts without swivel wheelsI got this for my elderly step-mom who lives in assisted living. She drives to the store for her supplement drinks and other sundry items, but has trouble carrying the stuff to her apartment. She had an all metal, 4-wheeled cart that she used, but the spokes on one front wheel broke after a couple of years. This came just in time for her next shopping trip. She is thrilled to have such a maneuverable cart, and it is easy for her to fold and unfold. Just step on the back locking brace, just like an umbrella stroller. The handles are comfortable and at a good height too. Get yours at zabaleta. Fast shipping and prompt communications from this seller. I ordered the same product at AJ Prindle nearly a week earlier and they arrived on the same day. Plus, when I tried to find out shipping information from AJ Prindle, they could tell me nothing until 4 days after it had already shipped from the manufacturer and of course, they were unable to cancel the order when I requested it, because it had shipped already. They claim that the only way to get the information was by email, through another department. With zabaleta, they sent an email to me the day it shipped (which also shipped directly from the manufacturer). Rather than hassle with returning the one from AJ Prindle, I decided to keep this great item for my mother-in-law, who does not drive. Rating: - Good design, bad executionLoved this cart at first, then the tubular steel by the front wheels began to bend and eventually both front wheels broke off. So I bought another one because I really liked the compact design. After using the brand new one for 2 weeks one of the back wheels cracked and fell off. It is really cheaply made unfortunately, and there is no way you could load it to 100 pounds. Too bad there is not a sturdier "heavy duty" version. I'd gladly pay more for one that was better made. Looks like I'll have to go back to the trusty but bulky "granny cart". Rating: - I like it better than the traditional all-metal carts, but.....I like this better than the traditional metal carts, but it has it's drawbacks... When loaded down, it can be difficult to maneuver the front swivel wheels. Also, the metal frame DEFINITELY needs to be made of stronger, sturdier metal bars. I found that the bars with the handles on them bent slightly over time, and when I collapsed it shut, the little clip that is supposed to clip the two handles together to keep the unit shut wouldn't clip because the bars were not in alignment anymore. After that, the right handle broke off completely. If they would use a sturdier metal, this unit would be perfect. I do love the canvas as opposed to the traditional metal carts, and it even has a velcro lid/cover, pretty nifty... Overall, I would recommend, but it does need improvement, and *don't overload it* weight-wise... UPDATE: 07/24/08. I emailed Versacart and they asked me if icould send a picture of the broken handle. I used my digital camera and emailed them and pic as well as a copy of my Amazon purchase receipt. They immediately Fed-Exed me a brand new Versacart free of charge. I am very impressed about that and really appreicate that they did that, however they really need to improve the strength of the steel bars so that these carts won't break in the first place... Rating: - Ramblin' & Rollin' Plant Lady...Not really a "review"-more like-"putting out feelers"! I work as a "plant technician" or more warmly known as...The Plant Lady and I travel to several clients on a daily basis to care for their office plants. Lugging around the water bucket by hand soon became old especially when my husband gave me the neatest folding laundry/garden cart for my sidekick! Now I can push my cart with my bucket, sprayer, tools, etc and it's great! However, the cart is beginning to show the wear and tear of constantly in and out of the trunk and the rear right wheel sometimes just takes off all on it's own! Fortunately, my reaction time has (so far) been quick enough to keep it all from crashing into someone's desk, for example, drenching it throughly!!! Whew!...Does any kind soul out there know of a really TOUGH folding cart that would suit me better??? I have been able to snap that errant wheel back on and trundle on-for a while. Thanks for reading my sad tale-any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
