 - Good for the priceThis is my first voice recorder and it's simple enough to figure out how to use it. The speaker for some reason wasn't working when I first got it but after switching to LOW setting, it seems to work just fine. I use this while driving as I think of things to do or stuff I need to follow up with at work. It is small so it's easy to carry around and it comes with a case for your belt. The buttons are well spaced so you shouldn't hit two buttons at once. Rating:  - I have never seen a such a poor recorderI bought it 1 month ago of course this can record very long time but that is all recording quality is too bad to record and this recorder is only record the voice it do not record as a mp3 file or anything else. to listen the recordings I have replay the recorder. How inconvenient this is. So I have to buy anohter thing But funny thing is only 30$ mp3 player can record the voice much better than this poor recorder Rating:  - great price for compact recorderFor anyone who previously enjoyed the simple Voice-It recorder which has been unavailable for years, this is the next best thing for recording notes to oneself. Sound quality is good and controls are simple. Like the locking slide switch which precludes accidental recordings and increases battery life. Oddly the instructions did not include how to adjust volume (push the + and - during playback). Would recommend especially for the $30 price. Rating: - Not as useful as reviews claimThis company(Olympus) cheats customers by luring them to believe that VN4100 is the same as VN4100PC.The difference lies in the computer connectivity.This Voice recorder which bears the VN4100 does not have USB Port and thus CANNOT do a file transfer to the computer.So the question of email sending of voice files is impossible. Also, the battery functionality is not good.The moment the hold button is on and the battery is replaced the machine crashes and becomes useless. The design is sleek but it has not substance. Rating: - Exactly what I wantedI purchased this for my husband. He was never in a position to write something down when it came to mind. This is a basic recorder but does exactly what I thought it would. You just grab it and put your thoughts on it. Very clear when you play it back. Records well in fairly noisy conditions. Very light weight and no bigger than a cell phone. It fits very well in his pocket. If you need something to put reminders, lists, or anything on, this is great. And the price can't be beat either!
