Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - FANTASTIC GOLF GAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
TIGER WOODS FOR THE PLAYSTATON 3 IS A GREAT GAME. THE GAMEPLAY IS EXCELLENT BECAUSE WHEN YOU SWING THE CLUB IT DOSEN'T ALWAYS GO RIGHT DOWN THE FAIRWAY. NOW IF YOU WANT IT TO GO RIGHT DOWN THE FAIRWAY YOU ARE GOING TO HAVE TO PUSH THE ANOLOG STRAIGHT UP OR ELSE IT WILL SLICE OR HOOK AND IT WON'T END UP BEING A VERY GOOD SHOT. ANOTHER THING THAT IS GOOD ABOUT THE GAMEPLAY IS THAT WHEN YOU HIT THE BALL IT GOES ALOT FARTHER THEN IT DID IN THE PAST TIGER WOODS GAMES. THE GRAPHICS IN THIS GAME ARE ACTUALLY PRETTY GOOD TOO. THE THING I LIKE ABOUT THE GRAPICS IS THAT IT IS MORE RELISTIC THEN IN THE PAST GAMES. FOR INSTANCE, IN TIGER WOODS 06 FOR THE PS2 THE CROWD BARLEY CHEERED WHEN YOU WOULD HIT THE BALL AND PLUS YOU COULDN'T EVEN SEE THEM AND THAT REALLY SUCKED. BUT IN TGER WOODS 08 FOR THE PS3 YOU CAN SEE THEM AND THEY CHEER ALMOST EVERY TIME YOU HIT THE BALL. THE BAD THING ABOUT THE GRAPHICS THOUGH IS THE THE CROWD LOOKS A LITTLE CHEESY AND THE CHARACTER MODLES AREN'T THE GREATEST. OTHER THEN THAT I WOULD SAY THAT THE GRAPICS IN THIS GAME ARE PRETTY GOOD. THE SOUND IN THIS GAME IS PRETTY GOOD. THE GOOD THING ABOUT IS WHEN YOU HIT THE BALL IT SOUNDS GREAT. THE BAD THING ABOUT THE SOUND IS THAT THE CROWD SOUNDS JUST LIKE IT DID IN 06 FOR THE PS2. I WAS INTERESTED TO SEE IF THE CROWD SOUNDS ANY DIFFERENT AND THEY DON'T SO THATS WHAT DISAPOINTS ME. OVERALL I WOULD SAY THAT THIS GAME IS REALLY FUN AND IT DOESN'T TAKE VERY LONG TO GET USE TO SO I THINK IT IS WORTH EVERY PENNEY. NOW IF YOU HAVE NEVER EVEN PLAYED A FREAKIN TIGER WOODS GAME THEN I WOULD SUGGEST GETTING IT BECAUSE FIRST OF ALL IT IS 60 DOLLARS AND SECOND OF ALL YOU WILL HAVE WASTED ALL THAT MONEY ON A GAME YOU DON'T LIKE. SO AFTER ALL THAT I AM GIVING THIS GAME A 4/5 WITCH IS A REALLY GOOD RATING.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Problem with yearly releases
We should probably stop supporting EA's yearly release schedule. At least with TW they added new courses instead of just new players (which seems hardly a big incentive to me). But, if it weren't for the red shirted Tiger on the front I could have sworn this was TW2007.5 instead of an actually game. They could have just sold it for 20 bucks for add on courses and that would have been honest business at least.

The PS3 version is terribly slow. You can tell this was an Xbox 360 port to PS3 instead of the other way around. In the end I just couldn't keep playing it with the horrible load times - just to boot up the game and get in and play took entirely to long, then if you made a mistake and select the wrong option in your hurry to actually play - it's time to do it all over again.

I think the biggest tell tail sign is when they moved the same commentary from 2007 to 2008. This is what happens when you must get a game out each and every year.

I'm going to get Hot Shots: Out of Bounds - which at least looks like they tried to create an actual game instead of $50.00 expansion pack. Don't buy (at least not for $50 dollars).

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Not as good as 2007
I have Tiger on PS2, PS3 and DS and to be honest i liked it. Its pretty much the same as 2007 but with better graphics. It is tough i will admit that but its the learning curve game. As i have played all the other TWs games it was easy for me to get into it. The commentary is pretty much exactly the same as 2007, the addition of the gallery is fun - i found myself wanting to hit them to see what happened! The best part is the game face option - i put my head on it and well it did pretty good in turning me into me - yes i look like a giant chin! I liked it, i am addicted and i will keep coming back and especially with the option to download new courses its a game thats going to keep on growing!

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Love the series, hate this game.
The Tiger Woods PGA Tour series of games are my favorite video games ever. I have owned every game since TW2002 and loved every single one of them. I usually end up buying the newest version a few months after its release because I'm still working on beating the last one! I bought 2008 and I'm going to go back to 2007. Simply put, this game is just too hard. I have played this game for 2-3 hours a day for 2 weeks thinking that once I finally "get a feel" for the game that it will be awesome, and I keep getting angry.
-Putting is inconsistent, even once you've built your skills
-The graphics on PS3 look about as good as TWPGA2005 looked on my original XBox. BIG Letdown on the graphics. Putting your face on your golfer means nothing, good idea, but they didn't pull it off.
-The commentary is almost exactly the same as 2007
-What happened to the 3-click shot?
-The music SUCKS. I have never complained about the music in one of these games, but it is awful.

If you're new to this series, save some money and pick up 2007, and wait for 2009. I really hope they improve over this game.

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Big Letdown!
The graphics are admittedly very good as expected. However, the gameplay is downright awful! I've owned versions for the past three years on ps2, snd liked them all, but the new one for ps3 is so unplayable. I don't like the play set-up and the controls are too difficult! I was besting all of tiger's top scores in '06, and now i'm lucky to four putt! And, I can't advance past anyone because I can't even get a drive in the fairway.
