- I can't feel my fingers. That's normal, right?Being a relative newbie to gaming per se, I doubt I can offer a subjective analysis (sic) of the game. I can tell you that I'd ignored pretty much everything and everybody the last 2 weeks I spent in front of the console. The game play is immersive, the environment rendered is stunning considering the console and the production values rival those of a feature length film. The game hooks you immediately thanks to couple of monsters than make some brilliant appearances; and yet manages to shock and awe at every turn. The background score and great voice acting set this apart from every other third person shooter/slasher in the genre (I'm looking at you MGS). The physics engine is noteworthy but I'm fairly sure the inherent complexity and superior AI had a lot to do with the game being short. At the end of the day, the game is rather epic in it's ambition and actually manages to resonate emotionally with the player. Well, at least this player. Rating: - God of War on the small screen!Game rocks, may be a bit short but the challenges of the Gods extends gameplay for a long time. If you love God of War, you will love this handheld entry to the series. It is awesome. Rating: - Great game!I got this in the entertainment pack (red) as a present and this was a great first game. Great music, graphics and fast exciting game play. As a first game for the psp 2000 i must say this spoiled me as i am comparing other games i am buying to this and so far this is still the best. Rating: - Great game in small packageThis game helped me through a lot of boredom, although short, it is very entertaining and the fun never stops (until it's over). I think it's worth the money because it is so much fun! This is my first GoW game and I love it, can't wait to play the rest of them. Rating: - On par with PS2 brothers.Kratos would be proud. If you've either of the other God of War games, you'll feel comfortable playing this. In fact, controlling Kratos on the PSP might be even better than the PS2 games. The graphics are amazing for a PSP. The environments and character details are done so well in the entire franchise, and this is no exception. The enemies look intimidating, and Kratos even more so. The levels are incredible, as are the lighting effects for so small a console. The sounds are right up there with the original PS2 titles, and probably some of the best sound effects of any PSP game. The story is great, and probably the most emotional of the whole series. I don't want to elaborate, as to not create any spoilers for those debating whether they should purchase the game(which you should). There are very few bad things about this diamond. For some it may take a little while before you get used to the little analog nub that the PSP has. I don't have big fingers or anything, but I find that during some intense battles, my thumb would slip off the analog "stick". Some of the boss battles were disappointing, not living up to the God of War name, but definitely forgivable with a game this good. This is a great buy for those new to the entire franchise or for those who've played the previous games.
