Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - good idea
My son is into playing wrestling games and stuff like this game so he was glad when he recieved it today. He has had a good time with it.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - THE FIRST WWE DS GAME
THIS IS THE FIRST GAME FOR WWE ON THE DS . IT IS ALSOTHE FIRST WWE GAME
TO USE THE TOUCH SCREEN.. WHO EVER THOUGHT OF THIS IDEA IS A GENIUS

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - I've played better wrestling games
It's not like the Smackdown games of old on your PS2 because you don't use buttons at all except for start when you want to either start the game or pause it.

PROS:
- Upgrade your wrestler's skills and moves in career mode using the mini-games like jumping rope, kicking/punching the body bag, or weight lifting, all of which are done with the stylus. You can also upgrade by completing various tasks in the matches during season mode like "Irish whip," "perform a submission hold," or "Perform a finisher." These are harder than they sound.
- You don't have to memorize any moves because the moves pop up on the screen for you.
- Graphics are good
- Music is right on point and Tony Chimel does the ring announcing (I'd rather have Lilian, but he's still good).

CONS:
- Not a huge variety of wrestlers. They'll put in Mr. Kennedy, but no Matt Hardy? Only 2 ECW stars?
- With the stylus pausing and giving you options of which move to execute, the matches aren't very fluid. That's probably it's biggest flaw. It boggles me that Nintendo creates a portable gaming system with 6 buttons and produces games that makes them useless. Zelda's Phantom Hourglass is another one, but it's pretty entertaining - if you're a Zelda fan.
- No tag team matches
- No ladder matches.
- No table matches.
- No cage or cell matches.
- No create-a-wrestler.
- I might be wrong, but I'm pretty sure there's no blood.
- They should've renamed "3 Stages of H***," "Best 2-0ut-of-3 falls" because that's exactly what it is.
- Your opponents can and will pin you without using their finisher. I personally think it should be a requirement. I've had the game for 24 hours and still haven't gotten the icon for a finisher. You only have to have orange body damage for them to effectively pin you, unless you're good a tapping the stylus super fast to counter the gauge.

If I knew yesterday what I know now, I probably would've bought something else.

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Decent but stylus ruins the game
This game has good graphics, a good story mode, but the wrestling sucks. I picked a wrestler and I cant tell if who im suppose to be. You cannot really wreslte a full match without being asked which move to pick. It gets annoying after awhile and really brings the game down. Also, all the moves seem to be the same for all the wrestlers. ECW only has two wrestlers (go figure) and I really wanted more ECW stars. I got a dvd for the game and it showed Sandman getting his butt handed to him in the promos and its funny because now he is released. I know the date of the game was pushed back, probably to delete departed stars. If thats the case they could have renamed Johnny Nitro- John Morrison. Decent game but really frustrating.
