- Powerfull approach for windowsNAV 2008 is so much faster than previous versions. I can browse and shop online knowing my laptop is protected. I recommend this product to everyone. I use it on my game computer and it run smoth. I'll recomend this solution for everone, there is no better solution out there in the shop's Rating: - Brilliant offer for 5I always was a fan of Norton. We have Five Labtops at our household. And this box it just great for the money. I have to warn you though you have to install all five the same day. Any installment later, it will still start with the date of the first installment. Rating: - Good product, just a bit cumbersome....I have had good success with this product for several years now. I buy the 5 user pack each year because it's always cheaper than all the renewals. Although it provides comprehensive protection, it seems that the application sucks up system resources and has a noticable (but not significant) impact on performance. This really doesn't bother me too much as I've had McAfee & others and performance impact is inherent with any of these products. I guess this is just the price you pay to be online. I will continue to purchase this product - just with hopes that next year's version runs more briskly. Rating: - Norton AV 2008 5-user diskNorton 2008 installed without a hitch and is easy to use. It starts a lot faster than previous versions and does the job. The 5-user pack is considerably less expensive than buying individual installations for 5 computers if you've got a LAN. Yeah, I used to do the thing of buying 1 version a year for free and update all the others from one of the other disks I had. That got old and illegal. So I decided to go the legal route and do the "Right" thing. The main thing that bites me about the "Right" thing is that any installation after the first dates from the installation of the first. That's like installing it on your 1st computer on Jan 1 and installing on your 2th computer on July 1 (becuase you don't have to update it until then). Sorry, you loose half a year on the second through fifth computers because they're all dated as starting on Jan 1, you're first installation. So update your LAN all at the same time. You loose money for each day you wait. Secondly, Norton refuses to play nice with The biggest, most effective, FREE firewall of all - Zonealarm. Somehow it can't write script that is compatible with Zonealarm which had the firewall first. Now it wants Zonealarm to become compatible with it because it's the 500 pound gorilla in the livingroom. Besides those 2 factors, it works smoothly and effectively. I'll continue to gripe about those 2 things wherever I go until they're fixed.
