- 7th season Magnum P.I.I have never ordered a used DVD and was a little worried, but I have watched the whole season in 4 days and it was an excellent quality disk set. I got it for a good price and help to recycle a product. Hope to do business in the future. Rating: - Magnum P.I. I loved watching this show when it first aired. I have since purchased all the seasons and have enjoyed watching them again. I like the drama with the mix of humor that the show has always had. Rating: - real old facion Magnum It was a great fun to whats, its a season full of the old Magnum PI jokes. Bud throwout the hole season Magnum strudels with his age. Al for are back in the character. Higgins grumpy as always, Rick still works at the club and TC gets more character only where is his helicopter???? Rating: - SEASON 7 ROCKS! I think this 1986-87 Season of MAGNUM, P.I. is a wonderful DVD and was probably the most successful season of them all throughout Magnum's 8-year run on CBS and I highly recommend it, although they didn't provide a summary and description of each episode along with their original air dates like Magnum's first 3 seasons on DVD did, such as Season 1, Season 2, and Season 3 did, which was excellent, but they should have done that with Magnum's 7th Season DVD as well as Magnum, P.I.'s Complete Sixth Season DVD, but I hope to see them do it on Magnum's next season on DVD and to see Magnum, P.I.-The Complete 8th Season on DVD, which was also Magnums final season on CBS, which is even more sophisticated than Magnum's 7th Season was. It's just too bad that this DVD of Magnum's Complete 7th Season didn't provide a bonus episode from Magnum's 8th Season like the Magnum, PI-Season Six DVD did, because I think that would've made the Magnum, P.I.-Season Seven DVD even better. Other than that, this 1986-87 Season DVD of Magnum is absolutely sensational and isn't too shabby at all along with the fact that this was the season that TC's son(Shavar Ross) who used to play Dudley on DIFFERENT STROKES and Magnum's other cop buddy Lt. Nolan Page(Joe Santos)who also played Rockford's exasperated cop buddy(Detective Dennis Becker) on THE ROCKFORD FILES both joined the cast and crew of this show and became part-time co-stars on Magnum, which is part of what made this show more interesting. Magnum's Seventh Season was also has a cast collide episode when Jessica Fletcher(Angela Lansbury) from MURDER SHE WROTE joins in a murder investigation Magnum is working on while Jessica works on writing a novel along with providing a bonus episode from MURDER SHE WROTE to conclude the "Novel Connection" episode of Magnum, PI, which was quite intriguing and made the episode and 7th Season quite interesting and exceptional along with the fact that casts rarely seem to collide on TV shows anymore. I also liked the fact that this season provided a Jack The Ripper type killer(Kenneth Tigar) in the "Death & Taxes" episode, which showed clips from the pilot episode of Magnum, P.I. and the "Little Girl Who" episode, which showed clips from the "Memories Are Forever" episode and the "Laura" episode, which showed Frank Sinatra as a retired New York police Sergeant hiring Magnum to find the killer of his granddaughter using the song "Tonight, Tonight, Tonight" by Genesis. I also liked seeing James Luisi in the "Forty" episode, since it reminded me of the days when James Luisi played Becker's abrasive fellow officer(Lt. Doug Chapman) on THE ROCKFORD FILES. I also liked watching Jared Martin in "The Novel Connection" episode after his DALLAS days too. Magnum's 1986-87 Season was also the season when CBS had moved Magnum, P.I. from Thursday nights to Wednesday nights, plus it takes me all the way back to memory lane when CBS's motto was "Share The Spirit on CBS", which was CBS's motto back then in fact. I also got intrigued with the "Paper War" episode when Magnum starts to figure out that Higgins may be the so-called famous Robin Masters while getting stuck in an elevator with Higgins. Additionally, I think Magnum probably did more in the 7th Season than he did in all the other seasons of Magnum, PI and that Magnum's 1986-87 Season probably had more drama and more action in it throughout it's whole 8-year run on CBS too, since the last 3 seasons of Magnum, P.I. seem to have been more serious and more dramatic and a little less comical, unlike the first 3 seasons of Magnum, which were funnier and less serious along with the fact that Magnum seemed to be narrating the episodes more back then, especially in the First Season, the Second Season, and Third Season. But I noticed that Magnum started narrating less and less in the last 3 seasons of this show, especially in the Seventh and Eighth Seasons of Magnum, PI, but this seems to be the most successful season of them all and I think most people who were Magnum fans throughout it's whole 8-year run on CBS would agree with me on this review. This show also takes me all the way back to memory lane when MAGNUM, P.I. was shown at 6PM on KTLA right after KNIGHT RIDER at 5PM during my Freshman year and Sophomore year in high school and when KNIGHT RIDER was at 3PM followed by MAGNUM at 4PM during my Senior year, which was mighty cool, since Magnum and Michael Knight both had fancy flashy cars along with the fact that Tom Selleck and David Hasselhoff were both sex symbols during their MAGNUM and KNIGHT RIDER days, plus KNIGHT RIDER is the show that made David Hasselhoff a star just like MAGNUM is what made Tom Selleck a star. In fact, KTLA is now the CW affiliate for Los Angeles, which was previously the WB affiliate for LA, but was changed to the CW affiliate when all the WB network was changed to the CW network back in the Fall of 2006. Rating: - Season 7: Magnum P.I. at its very best!As others have mentioned, this is the best season of Magnum, P.I., and the DVD's do not disappoint. The Genesis songs "Tonight, Tonight, Tonight" and "Mama" are indeed featured in their respective episodes ("Laura" and "Death and Taxes"), and the poignant John Denver song from the excellent season finale is also intact, no music replacement in sight. Plus the "Murder, She Wrote" cross-over episode is featured as well. With great guest stars including Dana Delaney and Frank Sinatra, great stories, laughs, action and lots of drama, any fan of Magnum or detective dramas in general will enjoy this set.
