 - 4 stars AFTER exchange for working machinemy husband and i decided to replace our epson r300 with a multifunction since i'm no longer working in an office, yet need the scan & copy functions in addition to plain print. the canon pixma mp610 is wonderful thus far, but this is our second machine. the first one we received here was DOA but after speaking with a very helpful canon rep we were told that this happens somewhat frequently. they offered to pay for it to be fixed or to pay shipping both ways for us to return our lemon and then send us a refurbished machine that had been tested and was good to go. they couldn't have made it easier and we're very pleased with the new/refurbished canon pixma mp610 we have now. i loved my epson but the photo printing alone blows it away, and then to have scanning and copying capabilities is fantastic. Rating:  - great printermoney well spent. copies exact duplicates, prints photos very nice. price of ink well in line with other inkjets. I like this printer. Rating:  - hasn't worked since day one..I purchased this about two months ago, unfortunately I didn't open it until one month ago (otherwise I would return this product via Amazon returns). From day one the printer would not print or copy in black, only in color. Anything containing black comes out completely blank. And there are absolutely no error messages being displayed. I contacted Canon tech support and they sent out a replacement print head. I replaced the print head only to find the same problem. At this point, my black ink tank is depleted even though I've never used it - only attempted to use it for 3 "deep cleanings" that tech support told me to perform. Canon will only replace it with a refurbished model, which I find unacceptable - but can't do anything about it. Ah, I just pray the refurbished replacement works. Rating: - Our best ever printer, all-in-one or not.I have had this printer, the Canon Pixma MP610, for only a month but so far it has far exceeded my expectations. I have had another Canon Pixma, not an all-in-one, and one or two other brands. This new one is significantly faster but does as fine a job printing as our old printer. It copies and scans well. It is also easy to use. But so far I have not used it much for photo work. Rating: - Great product, great qualityI replaced my i860 which I thought was the best and this prints the same quality but even faster. I am all about this printer!
