 - Make my laptop unable to boot up (windows XP packet 2 with windows defender installed)After install antivirus bitdefender in my Toshiba laptop (Windows XP packet 2 with windows defender installed), my lap top is unable to boot up, keep freezing eventhough I try to reboot couple time. Rating:  - So far....so good!I've used Norton and for the last several years have had McAfee. The 2-years and 3 PC's protection appealed to me and so far I'm glad that I purchased Bitdefender Antivirus 2008. Easy set up, lets you set perameters. Haven't had it long enough (about 6 weeks) to make an adequate review, but at first blush it's a winner!!! Rating: - Bit Defender WorksSo far, Bit Defender seems fine. Installed easily with no problems. Time will tell.... Rating:  - Good for older, slower computersI used Norton products for many years. I have not been able to, nor had a reason to, replace my three computers for 5 years (or more) and each year, when Norton upgraded, the computers ran slower and slower. I removed Norton and replaced with BitDefender. It installed easily and my computers, while still slower than when new, run noticably faster. (Using the new Firefox browser has also helped and I am in the process of adding RAM.) The product seems to work as advertised, though I still have to run several spyware programs every few days to keep the computers cleaned up or they become bogged down again. The price is great and the 3PC/2 years license is the best around. Rating: - Doesn't work with LoJack for LaptopsAfter working with BitDefender support staff for over a month (they take a few days to respond to help requests), they are unable or unwilling to get their software to work with LoJack for Laptops software. BitDefender support has now completely stopped responding to all emails from me regarding this issue; they have not respnded to my last 4 sent emails over the last 3 weeks. I am very unhappy with this purchase and would not recommend this software to anyone with a laptop or who wants good customer support after purchase.
