 - Solid tax preparation softwareTurbotax 2007 continues the tradition of providing solid, no hassle tax preparation for those who feel confident to 'go it alone'. I've been using turbotax for six years now, and it allowed me to complete my own (rather complex) federal and state tax returns each year with about 4 hours work. The only downside is that TurboTax can get a little confusing if you work sequentially through each of the topics. Rating:  - Keeps on Getting Better--Accurate and Easy to Use Tax Preparation ProductA comprehensive tax preparation program that guided me clearly and easily through the annual tax chore. You can choose either to enter data directly into fields that fill out the standard schedules or use the "guided tour" that takes you simply and coherently through all elements of your return--income (wages and salary, dividend and interest, capital gains) and deductions (every possible deduction you might be able to claim or credit you may qualify for). Good linkage between federal and state returns, excellent preview of entered data, running totals of refund or payment due and high quality, transparent screens. Runs a diagnostic to determine whether you've entered data consistently and completely. Makes a sometimes painful process manageable and relatively straightforward. Rating:  - Tax Season, product for meEvery year, I buy Turbo Tax to prepare my annual returns and every year I am pleased with the outcome. Turbo Tax makes me look like a genius cos when I help others prepare their taxes using Turbo Tax, they often get a better than expected refund. It guides you through different stages of the process and as you go along you can see how your refund is either increasing or decreasing. You can identify how to get the most refund and be able to determine if your write offs have any significant effect on your return. The Premier edition also comes with a free State tax download though if you want additional states, you will have to pay for it. My complaints with Turbo Tax are in 2 folds: 1) The cost they charge for processing your electronic refund is way too high. For the cost of this product, it should be made free; 2) When it identifies an error, sometimes the software doesn't make the necessary corrections so you end up going round and round in circles. Rating: - Way happy!Top-notch service. Received much sooner than stated! Could not beat the price either. Highly recommen!d Rating: - It's easy and great to use!This is my second year using Turbotax. It is easy to use and makes everything very clear. I actually enjoy using it. The feature that shows the impact on one's tax bottom line for each entry is very useful. Also the reviews for errors and for likelihood of audit are useful. It is reassuring to be in the know.
