- Solid as alwaysThis product is always solid and easy to use. Unfortunately it also has an unnecessay collection of special offers that waste your time. Rating: - Taking the Customer for GrantedI've been a user of TurboTax for more years than I can remember. My impression is that the TurboTax people have run out of fresh ideas. The cost of the product keeps going up and now e-filing isn't included. There are a lot of supposed improvements, but these appear to me to be more "eye-candy" rather than real improvements. And the cost of this stuff only supports raising prices. I can't say the competitors have better products. In fact, I'll probably continue to use the TurboTax system because changing is more difficult than just putting up with the subtle lack of meaningful context-specific assistance while being inundated by loads of marginally relevant "help". TurboTax management - return to an efficient product at a reasonable price. Exactly what is so expensive about providing e-filing that you should now be charging so much for the extra service? Is this your cash cow, like printer ink is to the makers of inkjet printers? I think so. Rating: - TurboTax ReviewThis is the third year in a row that I have used TurboTax to complete taxes. It is easy to use and helps to find the most deductions. One nice feature is that it asks to automatically check for updates to the tax code from the Internet. You can complete your taxes electronically or by printing the forms out and mailing them in. I have been very satisfied with this product. Rating: - I've used this software for 10 years--what happened?I've used TurboTax (and before, Macintax) software for personal and home business for 10 years with no problem. This year, it just doesn't work. the EasyStep creates forms that are incorrect, and won't even let me enter trivial things such as *all my business expenses, or let me use previous years' numbers for office in the home. I'm going to have to download the forms from the IRS and do it by hand. And I'm requesting a refund. Are they this stupid, or are they trying to market expensive add-on services? Rating: - Mac User thoroughly disgusted with this productI was forced to Turbo Tax Home-Business when Tax Cut forgot Mac users a couple of years ago. This year I bought the product for $74. with the shipping, while I was still operating OS X 10.3.9. Well, $129. later I now have OS x 10.4.11. Installed the Turbo Tax CD and guess what, even though my internet connection is merrily running away at the top of my screen, Turbo Tax says I am not connected. Turbo Tax support via any method is abysmal. No help there. Talked to Mac, talked to my ISP and the problem rests squarely with the Turbo Tax software. I am not the only one who has incurred this problem. Take a look on the web and others have had the identical problem. I have returned the product to Amazon and will take whatever allowance it is willing to give. Meanwhile Intuit has permanently lost a customer and I am back in Tax Cut's ball park.
