- Bodum makes great pressed coffeeOur new Bodum coffee press makes wonderful coffee which is so easy to prepare anytime. Just boil up some water, place your freshly ground coffee directly in the coffee press (we grind our own from fresh whole coffee beans), pour on the hot water, steep for four minutes, then press! We love the fact that you no longer need a paper filter, (which take out some of the essential coffee oils). So you get a full rich brew! The only problem was we thought that this coffee press would actually make 8 cups, as it was advertised as an 8 cup press....but since we use mugs which hold 6-8 oz. each, we barely get three mugs from a full brewed pot. So this was a bit of a disappointment. Other than that, we just love the coffee we make in this coffee press! Delicious! Rating: - french press coffeeI really love my french press coffee maker. It is perfect for two good size cups of coffee and perfect for when I do not want to make a whole pot of regular coffee & the coffee always tastes better. Rating: - Pressing makes better coffeeI had been reading about coffee presses on the web, and I thought that I'd give one a try. It was not only super easy to use, it makes the BEST coffee. The only thing that I found miss leading is that it says that it's an 8 cup capacity. I can barely add 4 cups of hot water and we usually get 3-4 "cups" out of a pot. But, I love the product and it's great coffee. Thank you! Rating: - My First French PressTurned out to be a pretty well made little jewel. Easy to break down and clean. This is the only one I have ever owned, but I would definately recommend it to anyone looking for one. Rating: - Great deal, fantastic coffee!I decided to buy a French press on the recommendation of a friend. I did a bit of research, and came up with the Bodum Chambord as the "best" as far as reviews went. I ordered the four cup model, and I have NOT been disappointed. I've never used a French press before, but the instructions were clear and the coffee was unlike anything I'd ever tasted. I've worked as a barista in the past, so I have some experience with making coffee. This is a heartier, richer, much stronger coffee than I'm used to, but it's not bitter. Word of advice... the fresher your beans are, the better the coffee. I bought some beans at our local market to test it out, and you could tell that they weren't fresh. Fresh beans will create a rich brown foam on top of the coffee when you stir the grounds in. Stale beans will not. After buying fresher beans, I was VERY happy with the taste. I do need to get a grinder, however. If you grind your beans at the store, just buy a little bit at a time. They go stale quite quickly after you grind them. Final words... if you need a good coffee press, you can't go wrong with this one. The workmanship is outstanding, everything fits together beautifully, and the "press" action is like silk. I love it.
