- The Best of the BestI have been using Norton products for the past 10yrs and have had minor problems with loading etc. Have been using norton 360 for a full year and recently have upgraded to Norton 360 V2.0 with no problems in loading. Bottom line is this software covers "all the bases" of security you will ever need plus that of a great backup to your CD/DVD or offline backup. Price may be steep at time But, search the Net and you will find a price around $20 (rebates etc.) RIP Rating: - AwesomeSo far no problems here, not much different than the last one, but over all good product. Rating: - Save your hard earned money..I have been a Norton customer since the beginning, and, with this release, I'm leaving. For the past few years, no Norton product has given me a clean install. Every upgrade from a previous Norton product results in either searching their site for the Removal tool, or a lengthy conversation to India. I manage an IT team and my time is valuable. The only thing in which Norton excels is billing. The product is ok, but not worth the time getting there. They also have a problem with configuring backups. It works when it wants to. Support stinks. I will leave a review of what I replace it with soon. Rating: - goodThis is so much better than the last program I used for my computer, it is one of the best things I have done to protect my computer. Rating: - Very Bad Experience - What to do if this happens to you.If I could rate this product zero stars I would. I purchased and installed Norton 360 2.0. After installing the product my Windows Vista PC blue screened. I contacted Norton support and wasn't able to receive the support I needed to fix the problem. After several hours, I was able to restore Windows so that I could log in without the PC blue screening. I purchased an external hard drive and immediately backed up my files. I had cancelled my order for Norton 360 so I proceded to uninstall it. After I uninstalled Norton 360 I was not able to see my network. If this happens to you, download the Norton Removal tool (pay attention to directions regarding programs affected) and run the tool. After the tool ran, I was able to connect to my network. I spent an hour with Norton support regarding this problem before I solved it on my own and they were useless, they didn't recommend trying the removal tool, they told me to contact my ISP even though I was connected via another PC, during one chat they requested to connect to the affected PC that wasn't connected to the Internet! Buyer beware! If you do decide to go with this product make sure your PC is backed up and that you have created a restore point to go back to.
