- Good productWe bought this for our son for his virtual class. He made the choice and as he use it, he discover more and more handy features and he loves it. There are lots of upgrading capacity and I'm glad we purchased it. Rating: - Glad I bought it!After hearing such great things about macs, I finally took the plunge on the MacBook when the need for a laptop came. It's everything I hoped it would be and I'm completely satisfied. I like the Mac OS and everything just seems to work better and more efficiently than windows-based systems. No regrets whatsoever and my next PC will likely be a Mac. Rating: - Amazon and MacBook - The BestI have been a PC user since the beginning and the is my first Mac Computer. It's the best computer experience I have ever had. Like others have said it just works! Out of the box in less that 5 minutes I was on the internet all setup and cruising the web and the MacBook is FAST. I love this little machine and Amazon customer support is the best to deal with. I wanted it quicker that the expected deliver date, called them and with no problem I had it the next day. Then I had a problem with the Rebate Offer Web Site, called Amazon Customer Support and they immediately credited my account with the rebate amount. Amazon has always been a pleasure for me to deal with and the MacBook is just perfect in every way. You can't go wrong, get one now! Rating: - Amazing...Was a PC user....will never switch back to PC now (specially since Parallels desktop exists!) Rating: - good college laptopThis is a good choice for a college student who likes the Mac OS X desktop. It is reasonably easy to set up and use. I downloaded and installed the Mac port of OpenOffice, Sun's open source alternative to Microsoft Office, with word processor, spreadsheet, presentation, and database tools. It installs on top of X11 which came pre-installed on the Mac. Overall responsiveness is good. Wireless sensitivity is not superb, but ok. The built-in camera and mic are a nice feature. One complaint is that the microphone does not have built-in echo cancellation. When will this obvious feature nearly everyone would find useful start to be standard equipment on laptops?
